Synopsis:
Thomas Kinkade presents Christmas Lodge: a place where a heart-warming past and loving future meet for one remarkable group of people. During a weekend trip to the mountains, Mary (Erin Karpluk) finds herself at the now- dilapidated lodge where she spent the holidays with her family growing up. She becomes determined to restore the building to its former glory. Inspired by her grandfather and guided by her grandmother in heaven, Mary throws herself into the project, and during the process finds herself drawn to Jack (Michael Shanks), a handsome man who loves the lodge as much as she does. Historically unlucky in love, this chance encounter allows Mary to renew her faith in life and discover her one true love. For an uplifting story about the importance of faith, family and the true holiday spirit, go to the Christmas Lodge.
This sweet, heartwarming, family friendly movie is a must see. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought the story was well written and the acting was very good. I look forward to watching this again with my family. Warning, I did cry several times during the movie, but I tend to cry at movies. And TV shows. And books. And, well, never mind. You might just want to have some tissues handy. :)
Here's a link to the trailer if you'd like to check it out.
This movie is available for purchase on DVD from Amazon. But if you'd like a chance to win a copy, just leave me a comment telling me your favorite Christmas movie.
Are you a Grinch Who Stole Christmas kind of person? (either one - although I prefer the Dr. Seuss version) Or perhaps National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is more your style. Or like me, the original black and white Miracle on 34th Street is at the top of your list. (I can hear my kids groaning already as I make them watch it with me). :)
Whichever it is, just shout it out in the comments. I'll randomly choose a winner on Wednesday, November 9. Which, by the way, is my wedding anniversary in case you wanted to send me a card or something. :) Winner will be announced right here on my little ol' blog.
Thank you and good luck!

My two favorite movies that I watch at Christmas time usually while wrapping my Christmas presents are "You've Got Mail" and "While You Were Sleeping." They both have Christmas in them although they are not necessarily Christmas movies. It's becoming a Christmas tradition for me though!
Oh my! I would love to watch this. I just watched the other Thomas Kinkaid movie the other day.
I love watching the Christmas Story.
This looks like a great movie! My favorite of all time is Scrouge. The musical, starting Albert Finney.
I love the original Miracle on 34th Street! Also love A Christmas Story!
When I saw the title of your film I thought I already had it but the one I have got is Tom Kincade The Christmas Cottage.
I LOVE Cristmas films - my all time special favourite is (don't laugh) Polar Express. I just find it so magical. Brings out the child in me I think lol.
A Christmas Story... it just cracks me up even though i've seen it a gazillion times!
I cry at everything too. Seriously. EVERYTHING.
My favorite Christmas movie is A Charlie Brown Christmas, followed closely by A Christmas Story, followed closely by A Claymation Christmas. Oh. and It's a Wonderful Life.
I think I just like Christmas movies. :)
Kim,
