Hello! Welcome to my little piece of the interwebs. I'm glad you stopped by! My page is currently under construction. A work in progress, shall we say. So please excuse the mess. :)

Please let me know you were here by leaving a comment. That way I can return the visit! And if you'd like to grab my blog button, scroll down to the bottom of the page.

About Me

Hi there!  Thanks for stopping by!

This is me ...

My name is Kimberly.  I am a forty-something woman ... wife since 1996 to Doug and mother of 3: Keira, Nicholas, and Alex.  I have been a stay at home mom since Alex was born in December 2005.  I went on maternity leave and never went back.  There's a long story involved there, which I won't go into.  Let's just say it has been interesting.  I made the adjustment from working mom to SAHM pretty quickly.  And I love every minute of it!  Okay, that's totally not true ... some days are HARD!  But we manage.  And I wouldn't trade the most difficult day at home for the easiest day at work.  Ever.

I started writing at My Perspective back in September 2009 then changed the name to A Fresh Perspective a while later since there is another blog with the same name.  And have since changed the blog name to Kimberly Vensel Photography as my posts are generally photography related.  My friend, Laura, introduced me to the world of Blogger after I had told her about my blog elsewhere.  My sad, neglected blog.  I started writing here, wondering what in the world I could ever find interesting enough to write about on a blog.  But I was hooked!  And I found things interesting enough to write about.  At least I think so.  You can judge for yourself.

I post a lot of pictures of my family.  Mostly so my long-distance family can keep up to date on what's happening here.

I also post the occasional recipe, a book review or two, photo challenges that I participate in, funny stories that I heard, etc.  I'll share the good times and the bad, because we all have them.

My goal in life is to have a closer relationship with God ... to become the person He wants me to be.  I often fail.  But it is in failing that I grow the most.

I hope you enjoy your time here!
