After police officer Mac McDonald loses his son in an accident, years of bitterness and pain erode his love for his family and leave him angry with God ... and everyone else. Can Mac and his new patrol partner, Sgt. Sam Wright, somehow join forces to help one another when it's impossible to look past their differences - especially the most obvious one? Every day we have the opportunity to rebuild relationships and heal wounds by extending and receiving God's grace. Offer The Grace Card ... and never underestimate the power of God's love. The Grace Card stars Michael Joiner, Michael Higgenbottom, and Academy Award winner Louis Gossett, Jr.
The Grace Card DVD was released on Tuesday, August 16. I was given an opportunity to watch and review the movie recently and am so glad I did!
This is a great movie about redemption and forgiveness. It teaches that it is never too late to start over. We loved this movie!
While the supporting acting was a little weak in places (obviously not a big Hollywood movie), the lead actors did a wonderful job when it really mattered. However, this movie was made possible by hundreds of volunteers (not professional actors) determined to help spread a wonderful message, which makes it easy to forget about the weak parts.
Although the movie is a bit predictable, it is also incredibly moving. You will need to have some tissues handy. I know I did.
The kids and I thoroughly enjoyed watching The Grace Card and look forward to watching it together again. The movie is rated PG-13 for some violence and thematic elements, but it has no foul language or sexual content. I had no problem allowing my kids to watch this movie with me and truly can't recall the "PG-13" parts.
If you enjoyed the movie, Fireproof, you need to see this movie!

Oh wow... not sure I have a favorite movie of the year. Hmmm... Really like the A-Team and the fourth Pirates movie.
I'll keep my eye out for it, Kimberly. We don't go to movies very often, but Dave rents them from the library or picks them up cheap. Thanks for the info.
Thanks for sharing this. I'll look for it. Another good one is Soul Surfer. I watched that the other night and the message was really good.
