Project 52 - Week 18

On Sunday, April 28, Nick got baptized by immersion at our church.  It was a wonderful, blessed moment.

So this week, I'm sharing a photo that I took of him in the baptismal ...

and the video that Keira recorded with my old camera ..

It is less than a minute long, so I hope you will take the time to watch it and praise God with us.  Turn your volume up so you can hear his responses to Pastor's questions.

God is going to do some great things through this young man!

To God be the glory!

Faith ... Edited

Welcome back to the edit version of Shoot & Edit!

Here are my SOOC shots followed by my edits.  I didn't do much with these because I didn't feel they needed much.  Just some tweeks in ACR, cropping, sharpening, and resizing unless otherwise noted.

I also adjusted the temperature in ACR to make the sky a little more blue.

I cloned out the power lines as best I could.  Ugh.  I hate that the power lines go right through the middle of such gorgeous sunsets.  :)

I've been trying to play with this one in Pixel Blender because I think it would look pretty cool, but I can't seem to get it to work for me.  Any suggestions/tips?  I don't really know what I'm doing, but I'm following the steps it gives and nothing is happening.  :(

So those are my edits for this week.  Next week's theme is Easter/Passover.  I wish you all a blessed week!  We've got a busy few days ahead of us with school concerts, Preschool ABC Celebrations, birthday parties, and volunteer work, so if I don't get to visit you tomorrow, I'll get there sometime!  :)

Faith ... SOOC

After a week off because of an incredibly busy schedule and feeling a bit overwhelmed in deadlines and such, I'm back this week for another Shoot & Edit challenge.  This week's theme is Faith.  That is a bit challenging as Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see [Hebrews 11:1].

So how do you capture Faith in a photograph?  I wasn't sure, so I photographed a few things that remind me of my Great and Awesome God, in Whom my Faith rests.  These are all SOOC.

I often get chills when I see the sun rays peeking through the clouds like this.

God blesses us with these glorious sunsets and all the wonderful colors.

Daffodills, the flowers of spring, which signify new life to me.

And gorgeous tulips, another symbol of new life.

Stop back on Thursday to see my edits.

Looking forward to seeing what FAITH means to you!
