Week 17 in Pictures

Another week bites the dust.  Things have slowed down here a bit, which is a welcome change.  I know things will pick right back up again now that we are getting nearer to the end of the school year, but for now, I am enjoying the freedom that a semi-clear calendar provides.

For instance, this week I was able to join the girls at Craft Night, go to lunch and shopping with Doug, visit a local animal park with my friend, Laura, and go to see a movie and then go out to dinner with some girl friends.  It was so nice to relax for a change!  I also managed to get a couple more months of photos edited and printed.  I'm still very far behind, but not as much now.  :)

Anyway, let's see what this past week looked like in pictures ...

Yeah, I know ... another bird photo.  But here's the thing ... I was hearing A LOT of noise outside my window.  Turns out this one little bird wasn't too happy about sharing the feeder with the many other birds that wanted to eat too.  He kept flapping his wings trying to get the other birds to go away, which they didn't.  Eventually he must have decided to just get along and they all ate their fill.

Okay, so I'm totally cheating on this one.  Monday was cold and crappy - raining and snowing all day.  I was completely uninspired to pick up my camera.  Plus I had a splitting headache.  So this is actually from Tuesday when the evening sun was gorgeous ... especially on these Dogwood blossoms.

Honey and I were able to go for a walk alone ... just the two of us ... through my neighbor's woods.  The evening sun was so pretty.  And I managed to get Honey to sit still while I took a few pictures of her.  If only my kids would cooperate as well as she does.  :)

Honey and I went for another walk on the bike trail where we came across these delicate little flowers.  I don't know what they are but they are pretty.

As I said, I went to a local animal park with my friend, Laura.  I ended up buying a season pass since this was already my second time there this year.  And I was so excited to see this guy ... Levi, a 5-month-old giraffe.  (He wasn't out the last time we were there.)  He is so stinkin' adorable.  This is just one of the many changes they have made at the animal park during the winter.  Too bad it started thunderstorming while we were there and we had to make a mad dash to the car.  :)

Not too many flowers are blooming in my flower bed yet.  I must have mostly summer flowers.  But this pretty purple one has been around for a while.  It has even survived several frosty cold nights.

Went with some girl friends to see The Lucky One and then out to dinner.  I wouldn't say this was the best movie I have ever seen, but it wasn't the worst either.  It was just okay.  And Zac Efron is quite handsome, which made it more enjoyable.  :)

One last thing, Sarah and Gina asked us to show off our favorite photo from April, so here's mine ...

This male peacock was showing off for a female for quite a while.  It was so interesting to watch.

That's it for me!  Hope you have a wonderful week!

Lovely, lovely photos! That peacock is stunning!

I'd love to have birds in our garden. We put out feeders but we never get any pretty birds! Do you know what those ones are?

Aw, I love the photos of Honey and the baby giraffe! Animals are so stickin' cute.

Your desciption of Zac Efron was a lot more mature than mine was. :-) He is "quite handsome".

I love the rich smoothness evident in so many of your photos...the soft backgrounds are fantastic.
