It was a pretty exciting week here last week. Our cabinets got delivered on Monday and installed on Tuesday! The kitchen is nowhere near being done, but there is progress and that is a good thing. The weather has also been amazingly gorgeous! Temps in or near the 70s and lots of sunshine. That is just not normal for Pennsylvania in early/mid March, but we'll take it!
Doug and I also got to finally go out to dinner to celebrate our anniversary, which was way back in November. We chose not to make reservations at my favorite restaurant (since we've already had to cancel them 3 times!) and instead went somewhere we've never eaten before. It was a nice restaurant with very good food and great service. We got there early so we wouldn't have to wait long for a table, and we didn't have to wait at all. I ate way more food than I should have in any given day, but we don't do that often, so I didn't feel guilty for long. :)
Anyway, on to last week's pictures ...
{Sunday}
Sometimes I treat myself to a bouquet of flowers while I'm out grocery shopping. This time I picked a half dozen lavender roses. They smelled so good! I tried doing Ashley and Sarah's vintage tutorial on this photo, but since I have an older version of PSE, I couldn't do all the steps. I still like the way this turned out though.
{Monday}
Monday evening I got together with some girl friends and we had a sewing lesson, thanks to our friend, Laura. We made place mats. Or should I say ... place mat, since we each only got one completed that night. We had a really fun time and look forward to getting together again to work on sewing projects. And, in case you are wondering ... no, I haven't finished making the other 4 place mats yet. Hopefully this week I'll find some time to work on them.

The cabinets were delivered yesterday and Dave, the cabinet installer, came today to install the kitchen cabinets! Yay! It is exciting to see progress being made!
{Wednesday}
The kids were most excited about the fact that we now, after 14 years, have a microwave. So Alex had to celebrate by having his first-ever bag of microwave popcorn.
Some pretty flowers at a friend's house. I took this from "down below" so I could get the sunburst in the photo.
{Friday}
Cell phone photo of my dinner. Yum! (And you can't see them since they came on a separate plate, but brussel sprouts were the veggie of the day. I love brussel sprouts! And they were so good!)
{Saturday}
Signs of spring!

Awesome week! Love your flowers and images of spring... it's a beautiful time of year. Can't wait to see the finished kitchen too! Thanks for linking up :)
Oh! The microwave story is funny because it's completely opposite of us- we've had a microwave since before you could buy one! My Dad was in the Navy and spent a lot of time in Japan, he brought home our first microwave back in the 80's. We were the only ones to have one and I remember the neighbors coming over to check it out and for the next 6 months (until they were available in Canada) neighbors would swing by to use it to heat up their leftovers! So funny!
