Thursday snuck up on me this week!
Today is the day I show how I edited this SOOC picture ...
I didn't do anything with it until today because I always wait to see Ashley's tips. If I can follow them, I do. However, with this picture, I didn't feel it needed a lot of editing. So this is what I came up with ...
I simply adjusted the exposure, recovery, blacks, fill light, clarity, and vibrance in Adobe Camera Raw. I love editing in ACR! It is soooooo much smoother than going through all those separate steps in PSE. Just my opinion. After doing the above, I played with a few Pioneer Woman actions, but was pretty happy with just the Raw edit. Then, as always, I adjust the sharpness and resize for web viewing (so it doesn't take forever to load when you stop by to look at it).
Although I did like this one too ...
I added the Pioneer Woman's Edge Burn action and reduced the opacity to about 70%.
That's it! Not a huge difference. But I don't think there is much you can do to this picture. Not because it is so great, but because of the subject matter. Again, my opinion. :)
Next week's theme is "good night". Hmmmmm ... I'll have to think about that one.
Hop on over to Ashley's to see all the other Shoot & Edit participants. I can't wait to see what everyone came up with!

I really like that you kept your edit really simple. It looks really nice.
Very nice!
I really like your raw edit!
I love how you added clarity to the words...I didn't notice on Monday that you have it opened to Psalm 23!
Yes, well, your sooc didn't really need a lot of changing -- but I do like how you whitened the Bible pages up. All 3 shots are great! :)
I love the raw edit - beautiful!!!!
Blessings,
Jill
Great job! I like the simplicity of your edit. Very matter-of-fact, if that makes sense.
I really like it!
I love this picture, Kim! It makes me feel really cozy. :-)
Lovely. No need to mess much with a good picture. :)
Love it! That's how my mornings look too! The last one is my favorite!
What a great "good morning" interpretation! Love the edit :)
