So I was wondering where all the comments were coming from. People that I had no clue as to who they were began leaving comments on that particular post.
Hmmmmm.
Maybe they are from the Blog Frog community? I know people follow me that way, although I will admit, I don't understand how the whole thing works. I just know I get an email every once in a while telling me so and so is now following me on Blog Frog.
So I decided to look into it by checking my Blogger stats. I discovered that a great deal of traffic was coming from a contest blog. So I clicked on the link and found that she had my giveaway listed in a post. Now I'm not faulting the person in charge of the blog. She's just doing what she wants and if she wants to spend her days searching the blog world for giveaways, then so be it. I would have preferred her asking my permission first though.
However, my giveaway
So I contacted the blog owner and asked to have my giveaway entry removed, which has now been done. But it has just taken all the fun out of having a giveaway in the first place.
Sure I got a couple more followers, but if you are only following me because you think I might give more stuff away in the future, you can unfollow me right now. That's not what this blog is all about.
I will follow through with this giveaway. I said I would do it and I will. I'm just bummed that some contest junkies got involved.

Awww I'm sorry! I know it's a bummer when that happens.
Boo to the greedy contest junkies that ruin all the fun. :(
Maybe your asking to be removed from the list will cause her to think about what she is really doing.
Don't let meanies ruin your fun!
I feel weird about that kind of thing to. Blogging to me is not about what you can get and what stuff you can win, but I suppose to some people it is.
:( booooooo.
Yeah, i hate that too!! Do not blame you at all!
Oh, I'm sorry you had to go through that, honey. I think you should do whatever you feel most comfortable with....giveaway, don't giveaway.
Your loyal readers are reading you 'cause they WANT to...not because of what you're giving away.
But, you already knew that.
