You had seen pictures of our house before and after siding in this post.
Well, today I found pictures of our house taken shortly after we bought it. Before we starting really working on it. Before it was silver.
Once upon a time it was white and puke yellow.
I know it doesn't look that pukey yellow in the picture, but believe me, it was pukey yellow. :)
There have been many changes in the almost 12 years we have lived here.
The house had a much smaller porch, which you really can't see in this picture, but trust me. It was like 10x10.
It had a door on the front of the house, which we never used.
It had different, crappier windows in the front (all over really).
It had a grey roof and big bushes out front.
It had a chimney, which is now history - we got a new furnace which vents out a pipe in the basement.
(I'm not really sure why the piles of dirt and the Hanes Activewear box are out front. Doug must have been working on something at the time.)
And these are just the outside changes. We're still working on the inside.
And here is it the day they finished the siding ...
Sooooo much nicer. It will look even better in the spring when there are pretty flowers planted in front. The kids are excited because we are actually going to put up Christmas lights this year. Now that I don't mind so much people noticing our house. :) Doug even started buying some already. I didn't think he'd be too keen on the idea of lights outside, but I guess I was wrong! It is good to know that he can still surprise me after all this time!
Thanks again for stopping by! Until next time ... God bless!

YAY! It's looks mah-velous, dahling! You did a great job!
Bring on the Christmas lights! Bring on the summer flowers!
Sounds good to me.
Thanks, Kathryn! We are really pleased with how it turned out. Now to finish up the inside, sell it, and build something/somewhere where we really want to live. :) We're just never happy, are we?
The house I grew up in is puke yellow. I get it. :)
