Practicing kicks.
Practicing more punches.
This is called the "listening position". I'm thinking of trying this at home. :)
Learning self-defense.
The instructors were great. The only thing that was a little annoying was their Minnie Mouse voices they used when talking to the kids. Don't get me wrong, the kids loved them (and listened!), but as an adult having to stand there and listen to them, it was starting to get on my nerves. :)
Nicholas wants to go back soooo bad. But it is very expensive and you have to go 2-3 nights per week. I told him Doug and I would talk about it. They gave us a pass for a free week of classes ... probably to get us hooked. :) Maybe we'll try it for a month and see how it goes.
I wish the Y would offer karate classes. Even for an extra charge, which I would expect, it would be worth it. But I looked through their program and there are no classes ... at least not this session. I'll have to inquire.
So for now, I'm not sure what we're going to do. If we decide to let him go, he'll probably have to give up swim classes. Because I'm the one who would be taxiing him everywhere. And I just. don't. wanna! [picture foot stomp and two-year-old tantrum] :)
Until next time ... God bless!
