The fabulous Kim Young of SHUTTERbag USA has been hosting a Macro May challenge over on Instagram. The idea is that you use your iPhone with a macro adapter on it. I don't have a phone like the cool kids do, so I am participating with my DSLR and posting my photos on Facebook instead. There are no prompts like with Fat Mum Slim's Photo a Day challenge, so anything goes. Here are some of the photos I have shared ...
This one isn't a true macro, but it was taken with my macro lens. So it counts. :)
This flower is actually green, but I didn't like how it looked, so I messed with the colors and ended up with this.
This moth appeared one night in my kitchen. He was hanging out on the backsplash. I convinced him this flower was a better place to sit and he apparently agreed for a while. :)
Macro is fun but hard. Even the slightest breeze can throw my focus off. I have been playing around with closing down my aperture more when I am able to, without lowering my shutter speed too low. I will continue to practice and play. And this challenge gives me a good reason to! :) The beauty of digital!
