Can you believe it is fall already? Wow! Why does time seem to be moving so quickly these days?
Speaking of time moving quickly ... Keira turned 15 on Saturday. FIFTEEN!!! How did that happen?!?! My once 6 pound, 5 ounce little baby girl is now taller than me and talking about learning how to drive a car! Yikes!
Anyway, we had her birthday party ON her birthday, which only happens ever 7 years or so. :) Family gathered at our home to celebrate with her. I showed you a picture of her cake in yesterday's Scavenger Hunt. It was delectable, delightful, and delicious. Really. It was so worth taking a break from my sugar fast in order to have some.
The weather on Saturday was gray, gloomy, wet, rainy, and cold. Ick. However, around 6:45 the sun decided to peek through - just in time for golden hour. So Keira and I rushed outside to have some fun.
Well, I rushed outside, came back in and made her come out and miss a few minutes of the movie she and the boys were watching so I could get some pics of her on her birthday. Other than the ones of her with her cake and gifts. In the cold, wet grass she stood barefoot for just a minute or two while mom snapped a few shots. She's such a trooper. And look at the fun shot we got!
Keira is growing into a beautiful, intelligent, caring young woman. I couldn't be more proud of her.
