Signs of Spring?

This week's Shoot & Edit theme is Spring.  Signs of spring have yet to really pop up around here.  Sure, the birds are chirping and the Robins have arrived.  But we also woke up to about an inch of snow on the ground yesterday morning.

Not yet having my photo for this weeks challenge, I went outside today in search of signs of spring.  The sun is shining beautifully.  There are very few (if any) clouds in the sky.  Although it is still chilly here.  34 degrees according to my handy weather monitor on my laptop.

And I was able to find a couple indicators that spring is certainly coming ...

My daffodils are popping up from the ground!

And this bush is starting to bud.  Love that I got a little sun flare in there too!  :)

I tried and tried to photograph a Robin, but I wasn't able to get close enough to get a decent shot.

It was a very rainy day but Alex was excited to finally be able to wear his new rain boots instead of his snow boots.  He was especially excited that I allowed (more like encouraged) him to jump in the puddles after his [indoor] soccer game win Saturday morning.  And I love this photo so much, I made it part of my new header.  This one is already edited though.  Is that cheating?  :)
