Shoot & Edit Week Five: Hearts Edited

It has been an interesting week for us.
~ We've had sick kids (all 3!) missing school on Monday,
~ a school delay on Tuesday due to the 3 or so inches of snow we got Monday night (seriously, this is Pennsylvania people!  Three inches of snow is nothing!)
~ a five-year old who sort of tried to re-enact a scene from A Christmas Story by getting his bottom lip stuck to the metal frame on our trampoline (who knew a lip could bleed so much?!)
~ a school delay on Wednesday due to very cold temps - along with a 7 year old who stayed home because he woke up with a nose bleed and then got the pukies a short time later, which then caused the 5 year old to miss preschool because Mom couldn't leave the 7 year old home alone and wasn't taking him in her car with the pukies,
~ another school delay on Thursday due to very cold temps again.

All of this leaving Mom wondering when life will return to normal.  If ever!  And why she is paying for a gym membership when she never seems to be able to get there!

But I digress ... you didn't come here for all that did you?  :)

Here's the SOOC shot I posted on Monday for the weekly Shoot & Edit challenge:
Week 5 SOOC

Valentine's Day erasers from the Dollar Spot at Target.

And here is my edit:
Week 5 edit2 copy

I didn't write down what I did.  I need to remember to do that!  I know that I edited in Adobe Camera Raw, as always.  Adjusted the white balance, exposure, etc.  Cleaned up those few pesky spots with either the clone tool or the spot healing brush.  And cropped a little.  I think that was it.  Those simple adjustments made a big difference!  I like!

Next week's theme is Love/Romance.  Hmmm, I wonder if I can talk my sweet husband into a little photo shoot with me.  :)

Head on over to Ashley's to see some other Shoot & Edit participants.  You won't be sorry!

Great job!! I'm so loving all the clean edits - and yours rocks! :)

I hear you on wondering when "back-to-normal" will be back... I'm hoping this weekend for my family! I sure hope everyone at your house starts feeling better soon -- no fun!! :(

Oh, and that's why I don't pay for a gym membership anymore and got a dog! :) She's much more loving and useful then most of the people/horrible contraptions at the gym, and she still makes me go for walks and not sit on my rear all evening!

Have a great weekend!

Just enough editing to make the colors pop. Great contrast.
