Scavenger Hunt Sunday

It is time once again for Ashley's Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

Here are my interpretations for this week ...

{Shadows}
021311-shadows
I love the long shadows made by the trees when the sun is setting.

{Pattern/Repetition}

I was kind of at a loss for this one until I saw this little American flag the kids wave when we go to parades.  I added a couple textures: Paint the Moon's Timeworn and SKC Photography's Grungy Mess.  (Both free textures!)

{Bright White}

I'll be honest ... I have very little white in my house.  I much prefer color.  But I did make up this vase of artificial daisies a couple years ago for a banquet and am now thinking I need to paint our dining room a nice shade of yellow to match the yellow ones.  :)  This is probably the only white thing I have in our house to photograph.  Other than the white poster board I bought to use as a background.

{Strong}

Another one that stumped me.  Until this morning in church when this verse came to mind ... The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. ~  Proverbs 18:10  (Then I went to get the link for this post and saw that Ashley and I were thinking alike as she has a Bible verse listed for her "strong" too.)

{Warmth}

This is the only photo I didn't take for this challenge.  It was posted on my Project 365 blog back on January 2.  Keira soaking in the warmth of the sun at our front picture window.

Next week's items are:
1. Chocolate
2. Numbers
3. Canned food
4. Music
5. Stack

Head on over to Ashley's and play along!

Love the pic of the flowers!

I seriously might join in next week. I can think of a few opportunities I will have for a few of the items on the list. I need to write these down somewhere so I remember them.
