Outlive Your Life by Max Lucado - A Book Review
I am currently reading the book Outlive Your Life by Max Lucado. It was offered through Booksneeze as a review book, so I jumped at the opportunity. The review is due today, so I'm writing one even though I'm not quite done with the book. :)
His writing style in this book is very down-to-earth, which I love because I can actually "get it." It makes sense to me. I can grasp what it is he is trying to say.
To me this isn't a book you sit down and read in 3 hours, cover to cover. It is a book you take your time with. Letting the message of each chapter sink in. Spending time reflecting and praying about what changes you can make. What changes God can make in you. Which is his theme throughout the book ... what YOU can do to make a difference. In your life. But especially in the lives of others.
Since I began this book I have been looking at people through different eyes. Seeing their struggles. Searching their eyes for a glimpse into their lives. Wondering if there is something I can do to make their day go a bit better. Hoping they will see Jesus when they look at me.
I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in making a difference with their life. I look forward to reading it again and again.
*NOTE: I received this book for free from Booksneeze in exchange for an honest opinion.
