Amazed

Some days I am amazed by people's generosity.

Alex's Preschool teacher was just here (at 8:50 p.m.) dropping off a meal she had planned to give me tomorrow when I picked the kids up from preschool. I had called her earlier to let her know Alex and Jordan wouldn't be there because my sitter is sick and we had to change plans.

Originally I was going to drop Alex and Jordan at preschool and they were going to go home with my friend, Jody, whose daughter also goes to the same school, while Keira and I went to her follow up with the surgeon. We were just going to pick them up when we got back from Pittsburgh. Unfortunately Jody got sick over the weekend and won't be able to watch them. So now Jordan is going to her other sitter's and Alex will be coming with us.

Anyway, Mrs. Saeler called around 8:30 to tell me she had this meal and to see if it would be okay to bring it over. I hate putting people out, so I told her she could just hold onto it until Thursday and I could get it then. But she insisted it was no problem.

So here we are with homemade chicken noodle soup, some yummy smelling rolls, and chocolate covered strawberries for dinner tomorrow night!

How awesome is that?!

I love it when I don't have to cook! Even though I have started menu planning and I already knew what we were going to eat tomorrow night ... well, sort of. I have my list of meals for the week on the fridge ... I just need to decide which one will go with each night. Now I don't have to worry about it until Wednesday.

Sweet!

I have had so many offers for babysitting or meals since we've been having our "ordeal" with Keira. It simply amazes me how generous people can be.
