As Christmas draws near, the Christmas television shows are in full swing. One of my kids' favorites is The Year Without a Santa Claus. If you've never seen it, it is along the same lines as Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer - made with stop-motion animation.
Their favorite part of the movie is when the Miser Brothers sing.
WARNING: Upon playing of the following video you will have the song(s) stuck in your head for the remainder of the day - possibly longer. You've been warned. :) Enjoy!
The funniest part of watching this show is Nicholas and Alex dancing and singing along with the Miser Brothers. And then listening to Nicholas sing the songs over and over and over. After about 50 times, it starts to grate. :)
So while I was out today without children (I had a dentist appointment to finish up my root canal, so a friend watched Alex), I ran to Target to see if they got in any more of the portable DVD players that I had a raincheck for (and they did!). While there I was walking past the movie section so I decided to check to see if they had the DVD ... they did.
I'm not sure why I bought it. I like the show and all. In fact there are 3 shows on this particular DVD and it was only $9.99. But I know I will now have to endure this singing and dancing year round now. I'm not sure I can take that. :)
But I already bought it and they watched it this evening ... and enjoyed every minute of it. Nicholas and Alex sang and danced and sang and danced some more. Nicholas sang the Snow Miser part over and over again while he was in the tub tonight. (I think he likes the Snow Miser better than the Heat Miser - go figure!).
I'm sure by the time Christmas rolls around I'll be ready to throw the DVD out the window. But the kids will have a good time ... and that's really all that matters.
Until next time ... God bless!
~Kimberly
