Oh, how much that title really speaks to me these days.  After a long, cold, gray winter with all kinds of time on my hands, spring has arrived.  And with it the busyness that comes with it.  Partially due to the laziness I regretfully displayed over the winter.  And partially because spring just gets busy.

Anyway, this movie review was supposed to be posted yesterday.  Hence the need for grace today.  :)

Having lost his faith many years ago, Detective Bill Broadly is called to investigate the disappearance of the local church’s collection plate. As he questions its various church members, rumors swirl as more congregants learn about the theft. When one unexpected church-goer confesses to stealing the funds, the confession resurrects Broadly’s views on God, and helps him see that through faith and belief there really is rebirth and redemption.

I enjoyed this movie.  Although it doesn't rank up there as one of my favorite all-time faith-based movies, it is a great story of redemption and faith.  Initially I was excited to see John Ratzenberger listed as top billing on this one since he usually plays smaller roles in movies. So imagine my disappointment to find that he does, in fact, play a very small part in this movie.  Aside from that, the acting was okay.  The story was good but predictable.  I guess that's what makes it a feel-good movie.  It is a movie that the whole family could watch together.  Those are getting harder to come by these days.

If you'd like to find out more about Grace of God, here are some ways you can do that:
Movie can be purchased here:  http://www.walmart.com/ip/Grace-Of-God/43608981

Also, you have a chance to win your very own copy of the DVD movie.  All you have to do is leave a comment on this blog post telling me your favorite faith-based movie.  If you don't have a favorite faith-based movie, what is your favorite movie?  Or the last movie you saw?  I'm pretty easy going, as you can see.  :)

My favorite faith-based movie is Facing the Giants.  I could watch that movie over and over again if time permitted.  Courageous comes in at a close second.  :)

Last day to enter to win the DVD is Wednesday, April 22.  I will randomly draw a winner on Thursday, April 23 and announce it here - at the top of this blog post.  If you leave your email address, I will also contact you so you don't have to remember to check back.  :)

That's it!  Thanks for stopping by and checking this out!

Heaven Is For Real was a good movie we enjoyed with our kids. I just love when they ask questions after a movie like that. 💜
