Hello! And welcome to another Scavenger Hunt Sunday! I had another crazy, busy week and am pleasantly surprised that I was able to find a photo to fit each prompt this week.
{background}
We have these beautiful blossoming trees behind our house. The other evening after a walk I asked Alex if he would pose in front of them so I could see how they looked as a background. Surprisingly he agreed.
{spotted or dots}
We had the privilege of welcoming a Black Swallowtail into the world this week. He'd been in chrysalis since September. He was magnificent with his white spots and areas of blue and orange. I shared a post last week on the different stages called Waiting for a Butterfly in case you'd like to check it out.
{weather}
Now that spring has finally arrived, the weather has mostly been gorgeous! Honey and I enjoyed a walk/run on the bike trail on Wednesday where we came across these beautiful buds.
{motion}
On Friday I chaperoned Alex's field trip to the Children's Museum. When you looked up in the art room, there were all these streamers hanging from the ceiling so I just had to take a picture. If you mouse over the photo, you can see the photo before I added twirl and liquify filters in PSE in order to give the illusion of motion.
{sweet}
Alex has decided that he wants to learn to play the violin. Keira was so sweet to allow him to try playing hers for a few minutes. When we rent one for him, it will be much smaller than her full-sized one.
That's it for me! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful week!
Oh, and in case you are interested, I'm giving away a super cute children's book. Hop over and enter to win! Today is the last day to enter!

That swallowtail is amazing! So sweet that Alex wants to start violin!
Beautiful colours! The Black Swallowtail picture is gorgeous.
Great selections for this week's challenge. That swallowtail!!
Kimberly, the butterfly picture is stunning! Great macro capture and look at those colors.
I like the tree buds you captured too.
Way cool process on that motion shot! Well done. I love the POV on the weather image and bless you for having 2 budding violinists in the house. That's a hard instrument to begin on-and hard on the listeners too.
Beautiful shots this week. I love what you did with the streamers...very cool.
STUNNING! As always- you blow me away. Love that butterfly.
Your children's museum must be spectacular.
Love the swallowtail butterfly and your motion shot. Wonderful editing on that one. At first glance it looks like stained glass.
What a beautiful set of photos! I love the swallowtail, but my favorite is that beautiful abstract "Motion." The original version of that is really cool, too. I really like "Sweet," too. That's a lovely story-telling image.
There are a couple of really nice macro images here. I've never gotten the hang of macro photography. The last image is priceless. It is so rewarding when we see siblings actually taking an interest in one another. Very nicely captured.
Kim, these are fantastic and your edit on the streamers is probably the best example of motion submitted this week. Brilliant!
Great set this week! I too am in love with your butterfly picture. It is so gorgeous!
I can't believe a swallowtail stays in a crysalis for 6mos. I live in CA and loved my experience of raising monarchs. Gorgeous set.
