Scavenger Hunt Sunday 04.14.13

Hello!  I am in a near coma state tonight after consuming lots of sugar today at Nick's birthday party.  I had been pretty much sugar-free for a month or so (maybe longer) and allowed myself cake and ice cream today.  And a cake pop.  And a little more ice cream.  :)  The sugar fast begins again on Monday.  Why Monday instead of Sunday?  Well, because we still have cake, ice cream, and cake pops left and I'll probably eat at least one of those Sunday.  Gotta be realistic, ya know.  :)

Anyway, let's get to the Scavenger Hunt ...

My friend, Lindsey, has a baking business and I asked her if she might be able to make Yoda cake pops for Nick's bday party.  This is what she came up with.  Aren't they cute?  And they kinda glow.  They were a huge hit!

Nick turned 10 years old on Saturday.  {sniff sniff}  He requested a Yoda cake for his party.  It didn't turn out quite like I had in my head but he loved it and that's really all that matters.

The lilacs are getting ready to burst soon!  So glad spring has finally arrived!

Nick is in the stage where he usually doesn't like to have his picture taken.  He yells "PAPARAZZI!!!" and runs the other way.  So when we were getting ready for his birthday party, I told him he was going to have to let me take his picture and I would also like him to smile.  He agreed ... reluctantly.  One day he will be glad he complied.  :)  (He's got some crazy hair going on here because he was wearing his Yoda hat after taking a shower and took it off just before his party started.  Plus he needs a hair cut.  Badly.)

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit Ashley's for more great finds!

Your party things are fantastic! Adore the lilac shot. Having a shower next weekend, and really hoping the lilacs open up and help with my floral centerpiece!

Incredible baked yummies! It always takes an extra day to clear the house of them, until the kids move out and you can send them home to their house. Them,

Wow...these pictures are AMAZING! Love shadow so much. Beautiful.

Thank you soooo much for telling me about the typo on my PL. You are not a debbie-downer, you saved the day! How bummed would I be if I didn't see that until I printed my book. Thank you!
