Here in western Pennsylvania, like many other parts of the country, we are still anxiously awaiting the arrival of Spring. We have signs of Spring here and there ... longer days, Robins flitting about the yard, a few flowers starting to peek up out of the ground ... but winter seems to want to hang around a bit longer. I think we have had snow every day this week. It is safe to say winter has worn out its welcome.
On Monday the kids even had a snow day. We got 5-6 inches of snow early in the morning. The kids were excited about having the day off. However, that does mean that they have to go to school on Thursday, a previously scheduled vacation day. Their "spring break" went from 4 days off down to only 2 - Friday and Monday - thanks to the two snow days we had in March. It's a good thing we didn't have plans. :)
Anyway, since winter has been hanging around ...
I bought a little bit of Spring for myself ..
It's not quite the same but it does help. A little. :)

Those tulips are stunning! Sorry their vacation was cut short! That's the pits!
Sorry about the shrinking spring break. Bummer. I love the cardinal image! He is looking right at you! So fun!
Oh how I love tulips- they certainly say spring!! Great job capturing Mr. Red- what a great shot. I just love any red against the white snow.
yes, where or where is spring. I just keep buying tulips at the grocery store to mimic what should be growing outside. Lovely photos!!
Hermosas imágenes, me encantan! Y ojalá la primavera no se haga esperar demasiado.
Abrazos.
Gorgeous shots! That bird is beautiful and tulips just happen to be my favorite! I love flower photographs!
I am in love with the photo of the cardinal. So bold against the snow. Creation declares His glory!
CArdinals are beautiful - We just had our first robin here last night- thank goodness! Time for spring! No more snow!
Here in NY, we're still waiting too. It's taking an awfully long time this year.
I just love your photograph of the cardinal. What a wonderful expression on that sweet little face!
Oh, the cardinal on white is perfection. Love it. Hope you see some spring soon.
