Time for another Scavenger Hunt! This is the last one before school starts for my kiddos on Wednesday. {insert happy dance} I have to admit that I am not one of those moms who cries when the kids go back to school. :) Especially after these last few weeks ... I'd say they are ready to go back too as much fighting as they have done. Yikes!
We did squeeze in lots of fun these past couple weeks though. In between all the fighting. :) Since July wasn't all that fun (with Alex and I stuck in Children's Hospital), we're trying to make up for it in August. Today's hunt gives you a little glimpse into our week of fun stuff.

{school}
We had a family trip to Presque Isle, Erie, on Saturday so the kids could play on the beach/in the lake. I asked Doug if he could take a picture of me to show that I was there too. :) (Keira was too busy playing in the lake with the boys to take pictures). You can see the kids out playing in the water. They had a blast.

The kids and I went to the Pittsburgh Zoo on Monday (getting our money's worth of that membership). We did the zoo backwards and went through the Water's Edge first. As reward for our switching things up, we got to see the polar bear in the water again. And we had the tunnel all to ourselves since everyone else was doing the zoo the "right" way and hadn't gotten this far yet. :)

Hiccup looked pretty small next to Toothless during the How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular show we went to on Friday. It. was. awesome. The kids had no idea we were going until we got there. I love surprising them! (Please ignore all the noise - my ISO was set at 12,800!)

Nick was enjoying the waterfall outside the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Another place we visited on Friday while in Pittsburgh. We got free passes while Alex was in the hospital so we decided to use them while we were already in Pittsburgh.

Every time I drive home to Buffalo we pass Presque Isle!! I've never been, but I recognized the name and location as soon as I saw it :) Wonderful to see what it actually looks like - makes me want to stop next time I drive through.
