Sling Free at Last!

Keira had her 6-week check up today at the Orthopedic Surgeon's office.  She has been hoping every time we go that they will tell her she no longer needs to wear her sling.

Well, today her wish was granted!  She's finally sling free!

She was so excited to be able to go to school today without the sling.

Free at last! (her words)

 A little victory hooray!

She has restrictions.  Still no gym class.  She's allowed to run but only in good conditions - no rain, snow, etc. where she could fall easily and have to catch herself with her hands.  Thereby risking breaking her arm again.

She's NOT allowed to do this ... hang from a tree!

She IS allowed to play her violin "as tolerated".  She might use that to her advantage when I'm getting on her case to go practice.  :)

She IS allowed to do her chores again as long as there's no heavy lifting with her left arm.  That means she can wash dishes once again!  Yay!  :)

Today is a good day.

Yay! Congrats, Keira!

BTW, Taylor is cast-free as well.

Our kids have to stop having so much in common.
